Phablet Matchup of the Day! Asus Fonepad vs. Huawei Ascend Mate


The past few days, two huge Android devices had their share of the spotlight as Asus and Huawei both announced the availability in the country of two of their own droids: the Asus Fonepad and the Huawei Ascend Mate.

The Asus Fonepad, launched last month here in the Philippines, is a 7inch phablet, although with its size it would more likely be used as a tablet than a smartphone by most users. Armed with a 1280×800 HD IPS display panel, a 1GHz single-core Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM, it is aimed to battle the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and Kindle Fire HD in terms of performance and affordability.
